National Readathon Day is TOMORROW!

Stack of BooksHow did I not hear about this until now? I’m the one who needs a 12-step program for books, whose husband has threatened to hide her Kindle, who wonders if adding one more book to the stack will make it finally topple over.  So when I discovered that we actually have a day devoted to reading, it felt almost too good to be true. A holiday just for me!

It’s too late to get started on any fundraising, so I’m going to make a donation to the National Book Foundation to support their literacy programs. If you’re not already on board, I hope you’ll join me in supporting them.

Now to the harder question — which book to read. I’ve already got a stack by my bed I’ve been anxious to dive in to. If you’re interesting in participating, too, but need some suggestions, you can visit the Teach Your Own Bookstore for books I highly recommend:

(Note: These are Amazon affiliate links. A percentage of your purchases helps support Teach Your Own.)

If you’ve got any recommendations of your own to share, please do! And Happy Readathon Day!
